Sinn Fein holds protests against education cuts
Sinn Fein has vowed not to stand by and let the Government destroy the education infrastructure.
The party is holding protests against reductions in education spending at locations throughout the country today.
They will hand out leaflets and postcards for people to send to the Minister for Education.
Representatives from the party have expressed concern about budget cuts taking effect this school year, as well as cutbacks that An Bord Snip Nua proposed in education spending.
They demonstrations will take place in counties Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Laois, Louth, Meath, Offaly and Waterford.
