Panto meeting on Babes in Woods

Wednesday August 11 2010

THE INAUGURAL PANTOMIME by Bray Musical Society will take place later this year and there is an information night on August 24. This information night will also be the first music rehearsal and is guaranteed to be a great evening full of the promise of things to come. The panto, Babes in the Wood, will be staged in Ballywaltrim Community Centre, Boghall Road, Bray on the weekends of November 26 and 28 and December 3 to 5.

Michelle Tobin of the Bray Musical Society said the group is very excited about the production.

'Bray has been without a pantomime for a number of years now and we are looking forward to bringing this wonderful form of family entertainment back to Bray this winter.'

She said there is a great production team already in place and the script will have the audience rolling in the aisles.

Preparations for Babes in the Wood begin on August 24 with an information night and the first music rehearsal.

Full chorus rehearsals start in earnest on Thursday, August 26, with auditions for named parts to follow in the coming weeks.

All the rehearsals take place at 8pm in St. Cronan's School, Vevay Road, Bray. Bray Musical Society is also looking for a junior chorus for the show and the Babes. Anyone with children aged between 10 years and 12 years who are interested in taking part should contact the society for further information.
