Rebecca sees stars at the IFTA awards
ASPIRING ACTRESS Rebecca Hughes got the chance to meet some of her idols last weekend on the red carpet for the IFTAS at Dublin's Convention Centre.
The Bray teenager bumped shoulders with a host of stars including heartthrob Michael Fassbender, (right) funny man Chris O'Dowd (centre right) and Desperate Housewives star Dana Delaney (bottom right).
'They were all really nice to Rebecca and the other young people who got passes,' said her proud mum Carol, official photographer for the evening. 'They stopped and signed autographs and had their pictures taken with everyone. Some of them are really lovely people.'
Rebecca (16), is in 5th year at St. Thomas' in Bray, and lives in Killarney Park. She is a member of Movie Extras who held a raffle to send some of their crew for red carpet view access at the event.
She was so pleased to meet such distinguished actors, and some day hopes to be making her way down that hallowed carpet herself.
Also an accomplished Irish dancer and participant in short films and plays, Rebecca is certainly showcasing her huge array of talents.
