A COLOURFUL TRIP
Senior Art students along with their art teachers Ms. Tubritt and Ms. O'donoghue went to the National Gallery and Museum on Tuesday the 31st of January. This is part of their syallabus for their Leaving Cert. It was a most enjoyable day out even though viewing at the National gallery was limited due to refurbishment. Students saw paintings by Yeats, Picasso and Monet and many more. The 'Bog Bodies' exhibition was very popular with the students.
JUNIOR ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
Students from Arklow Community College, Jordan Tackacs, Grainne Corr and Nathan Farrell Walsh participated in a 'Soup Run' which was organised by St. Vincent de Paul in conjunction with Belvedere College. Their objective was to deliver food and drinks to as many homeless people in Dublin as possible. Jordan, Grainne and Nathan also had the opportunity to talk to many homeless people and they had to find out if they had a place to stay that night. It was an emotional but a very worthwhile experience.
