Tablequiz: The Under 14 table Quiz will take place on Thursday 2nd Feb 7pm in Jack White's Pub (Min 2/max 4 on team). Open to children from 3rd class to under 14 - Just come along on the night. Please note the change of venue and earlier time this year. Entry €1 per child max €3 per family
Modelmaking: The Model Making competition took place on Saturday 28th Jan and well done to all the children who took part, they all made such brilliant models. The winners were Under 6 Boys: 1st Dylan Ryan, 2nd Keith Lawless, Under 8 Girls: 1st Emma Lawless, Boys: 1st Odhran Ward, Under 10 Girls: 1st Nicole O'donovan, 2nd Marguerite O'donovan, 3rd Iona Murray, 4th Roisin Scales, Boys: 1st Sean Fanning, 2nd Conor O' Toole, Under 12 Girls: 1st Niamh O' Toole, 2nd Cara Ryan, 3rd Chloe Fanning, Boys1st Luke Garrigan, 2nd Mikey O' Doherty 3rd Conor Fleming, Under 14 Girls: 1st Lucy Byrne, 2nd Ellie Boddy, 3rd Ailbhe Doyle. Thanks to Jenny Ryan for helping out at this and the model making funday.
Pitch & Putt: Boys & Girls interested in taking part in pitch & putt should go to the Draughts and Chess training in Barndarrig N. S. from 7 to 8pm tonight Wed 25th January to register and then groups will go to the driving range. This will continue on wednesdays along with the Draughts and Chess training until the end of Feb
Cross Country Training: started back again on Tuesday 31st Jan at 5pm in the Pitch behind the Old School Brittas Bay and continues on Tuesday until 26th March
Talent Competition: Please register for talent competition on the 8th Feb by contacting 086 6656934. The competition takes place in Trinity Hall Redcross on Thursday 23rd Feb for under 8's 10's 14's in Solo Singing, Solo Music, Solo Dance, Solo Recitation, Group Singing, Group Music, Group Dancing so get practicing. Please note it is a one day registration for this event.
Handwriting: This year there is a handwriting competition for under 10's and under 14's(under 14's is an area competition only). The closing date is 8th Feb. If anyone needs the rules and the piece to be transcribed please contact 086 6656934.
TABLE QUIZ
Join us in Jack White's Pub Friday 3rd February at 8.30pm for the parish table quiz, we'd love to see as many of you there as possible, meet up with old friends have a bit of craic and a side order of trivia. The quiz carries a prize for the winning team.
Don't worry if you're not a quiz fanatic, we have questions to suit all abilities and interests. There will be a raffle on the night your support is greatly appreciated. Cost per table is €20; all proceeds go to the parish finances. Spread the word, the more the merrier: we look forward to seeing you on the night.
