Community Games is buzzing at the moment as the Art competition is completed locally and the winners go onto represent the Aughrim/ Annacurra area in Blessington. Good luck to all.
The Art results are as follows: U-8 Boys Paraic Doyle and Shane Browne. U-8 Girls Jade Shannon and Rose Van Der Well. U-10 Boys Cian Byrne Thayer and James Doyle. U-10 Girls Katie O'Byrne and Aine Carroll. U-12 Boys Ben Murphy and Ben Hanney. U-12 Girls Carrie Doyle and Sheenagh Byrne. U-14 Boys Daniel Cottam and Ciaran Doyle. U-14 Girls Emma Byrne and Casey Keogh. Well done to all the boys and girls who participated in the Art competition in the Aughrim/ Annacurra area.
We also had entrants in the area who unfortunately live outside but their entries have been forwarded to both Shillelagh and Rathdrum for further judging, so best of luck to them. We want to wish all the best to all Art competitors in the County Final in Blessington on March 14.
Athletic Training: The Athletic training continues every Monday night in the new Sports Complex in Aughrim at 7 p.m. and the build up is on to the Cross Country Finals in Avondale on March 29, with time and details to follow.
A big 'thank you' must go to all our coaches who volunteer to help our children and they are under the guidance of Sean and Majella O'Shea. A special thank you to Jack O'Sullivan a student of Transition Year in Carnew who is helping out every Monday and it goes towards his An Gaisce Award.
If there is any Parents or Guardians who would like to help out with training on a Monday nights please come forward. For those of you who stay you can see how much we appreciate your help especially with the little ones.
