Freak or Unique?

Wednesday November 04 2009

TEACHERS IN the Dominican College, Wicklow, took on a ghoulish appearance last week in a bid to raise funds for Crumlin Children's Hospital.

The novel fundraiser saw the students of each class dress their class teacher in a Halloween outfit as part of the 3 Sapphire CSPE project.

In total, €800 was raised on the day and there was plenty of laughter throughout the experience.

The event was organised by 3 Sapphire and their teacher Mrs. Christianson and MC on the day was Mrs. Wilson.

Teacher Maureen Beary said the event had been a huge success and was one of the most fun fundraiser the school had ever organised.

'It was great fun and we got such enjoyment out of it on the day', she said.

The winners on the day were the 2 Sapphire class who dressed their teacher, Mrs. Beary, as a mummy and had her laid out in a coffin.
