'Horse' to get groomed
NOEL TO HAVE HIS MANE CHOPPED FOR EARTHQUAKE APPEAL
Noel 'Horse' Murphy who will be getting his head shaved for charity.
WELL KNOWN local character Noel 'Horse' Murphy will have his hair all shaved off in Lil Doyle's of Barndarrig, including his long, white beard.
All his efforts won't be in vain as Noel's dramatic transformation is in aid of the GOAL Haiti Earthquake Appeal.
The ex-Barndarrig hurler played with Wexford hurler Mick Jacob and also alongside the late Dessie Murphy. A huge GAA fan, 'Horse' attends all of Wicklow's matches to cheer on Micko and the lads.
This won't be the first time he has had his hair shaved and cut as he agreed to a similar stunt a number of years ago to raise funds for the tsunami disaster.
The hair and beard cut and shave takes place on Saturday March 6 at 9 p.m.. All donations will be kindly accepted and sponsorship cards are currently available. There will also be music on the night.
