AVONMORE MUSICAL SOCIETY members are currently hard at work as rehearsals continue for this year's musical show 'Seussical'.
This popular family show is based on the fables of Dr Seuss and features a lot of his characters including 'The Cat in the Hat', 'The Grinch' and 'Horton the Elephant'.
A cast of 30 children plus about 40 adults who will be working tirelessly to have the show ready for curtain up on Tuesday, April 6, in St Mary's College Hall in Arklow.
The show will be directed by Bill Stafford, Musically Directed by Mairead Mc Kenna and Choreographed by Martina Lynch. The lead roles will be played by Ken Moroney, Jonny Holden, Rob Donnelly, Paula Mc Loughlin, Kerry Avis, Chris Moran, Naoimh Penston, Leah Penston, James Kearon, Rhoda Yeomans. The leading role of Jo Jo is played by 11 year old Olivia Sheehy from Avoca.
