Our under 8's suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Arklow Town in a good team performance. In cup action it was a case of mixed fortunes for the under 9's and 10's. Ashford travelled to Newtown and came away with a 1-0 victory in the 9's cup.
The 10's progressed to the semi finals after a 2-0 win at home to Roundwood. The goals were scored by Sean Gregory and Keegan Heffernan.
The girl's under 12's played out a 2-2 draw with league leaders Templeogue in what was a great advertisement for girl's football. The Newtown goals were scored by Lydia Sinnott-Elliott and Katie Miley in what was a tremendous team performance.

Chelsee Snell from the girl's team and Dion Doyle from the under 10's both celebrate birthdays around this time and everybody at Newtown Juniors wishes them both a very happy birthday.
From Monday March 29 until Thursday April 1 we will be hosting an F.A.I. Aviva Soccer Sisters Easter Camp. Cost to participate is €60 and is open to girls aged 7-11 years and will be held in the Community Centre. For further details contact Hughie on 087-6987653.
