NEWTOWN JUNIORS FC

Pride of place this week goes to our Under 9's team who clinched the league title after a 1-0 win away to Arklow Town. Conor O'Toole-Odlum scored the all important goal just before half time to seal the three points. Well done to the players and management and to all the supporters who travel to all games and give massive support to the team.

In other games played our 8's lost 51 away to Wolfe Tone and our 13's lost 5-4 at home to Ardmore Rovers in a thriller. There were no games for the under 12's or girls teams. The under 10's completed their WDSL Futsal commitments with 2 wins, a draw and a defeat to continue their steady improvement throughout the month of January.

The following are the fixtures for the weekend: Under 8's Home to Wicklow Town KO Saturday 11a.m.; Under 9's Away to Wicklow Rovers KO TBC; Under 10's Home to Wolfe Tone 'B' KO Sunday 11 a.m.; Under 12's Home to Wicklow Rovers 'A' KO Sunday 10 a.m.; Under 13's Home to Ashford Rovers KO Saturday 11a.m.; Girls Under 12's Home to Broadford Rovers KO Sunday 12 noon.
