PLOUGHING SOCIETY
Roundwood Ploughing Society are celebrating their 135th year of Ploughing in Roundwood and are holding their annual ploughing match on the 25th of February on the lands of John Byrne, Knockatemple, commencing at 12noon sharp. All ploughmen/women wishing to compete on the day MUST register with Brendan Power at 0872420204 before 6pm Wednesday the 22nd in order to guarantee a plot. Every class from Conventional, Vintage, Classic Tractor Classes and Horse Ploughing will be catered for. As this is of special significance Mrs. Anna May Mchugh, Managing Director of the NPA will officially open the event. A special booklet has been compiled of photos and information through the years which will be on sale for €5, and should be very interesting. Spectators are very welcome.
ANNAMOE CENTRE
After a very successful meeting on Wednesday last there will be handball coaching every Wednesday night at 8pm. family Ceili Evenings. There will be a Family Ceili on the last Friday of every month, next one will be 24th February. Circuit Training / Bowls Circuit training continues every Monday night at 7pm with Johnny. Bowls every Tuesday at 7.30pm.. Bowls continues on Tuesday at the new time of 7.30pm. All are welcome. We have rooms to let on long/ short term basis. More information email annamoecentre@eircom.net
PILGRIMAGE
A pilgrimage to Medjugorje will take place in October 2012, exact date to be confirmed. Seven nights half board, including insurance, flights and transfers to and from Medjugorie at a cost of €649. HISTORICAL EVENING.
Annamoe Centre held their first historical meeting last Monday, it was a very big success. It was decided to have a meeting the last Monday of every month. The next meeting will be 27th February.
YOUTH ACTIVITIES
Calling all teenagers and their parents. Moves are afoot to organise youth activities in Roundwood for secondary school going teenagers. Please check out the Facebook page 'Who's in the Hood! Roundwood' and leave suggestions of activities you'd like to see happening and where! The more ideas the better. All offers of help are most welcome too!

PUBLIC MEETING
There will be a public meeting in the Parish Hall Roundwood on Thursday 16th February at 8.30pm. The meeting is regarding Septic Tank and Household Charges. TD'S and Councillors will attend. Please come along to this meeting.
KILCOOLE SET DANCING
Set Dancing & Classes continue in the Mill Room in Kilcoole every Wednesday night at 8pm. All are welcome.
ATHLETICS
Best of luck to all our athletes who will be heading to Nenagh this weekend to compete in the Leinster Indoor Juvenile Championships. Over 30 athletes from U 12 - U19 will be participating and have been training very hard in preparation for this. Please note there will be no training on Friday 17th or Sunday 19th February because of Championship.
GENTLE YOGA
A yoga class will start on Thurs.morning 2nd Feb.at 9.15 am -10.45am in Moneystown Hall. Cost is10euro per class with a commitment of 50 euro due on first day for first 5 classes. Set Dancing News Roundwood Set Dancing continues every Thursday night from 9.30pm til 11.30pm with music supplied by Michael, Matt and Brian for the coming few weeks. We have classes for beginners for an hour before the weekly session which has been well supported so if you have been thinking of joining classes, now is your chance. The cost of the night is a mere €5 (to include the lesson and the session afterwards). You can have a better work out than a gym, a whole lot more sociable and an awful lot cheaper!
