SPORTS NEWS Many congratulations to the TY Rugby Team who defeated Clongowes Wood College in the Leinster League Semi Final after extra time. We overcame a relentless Clongowes side 27-22 in what was a thrilling match. We wish the TY team and Mr Jennings every success in the final against The High School. Many congratulations also to our SCT on reaching the final of the Leinster League for the 2nd Year in a row. They successfully overcame Kilkenny College in a 13-7 encounter last week. The final will take place in January and we look forward to taking on The King's Hospital (with great confidence) in what promises to be a great match. MODEL EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT Well done Niall McLaughlin (5th Year) who, with 500 delegates, represented Ireland at the 2009 International Model European Parliament Conference. The Parliament Conference was held in Bonn, Germany. The Irish delegations resolutions were a resounding success with all the delegates. Niall was nominated to give the final defence speech of the conferences debates. This was a great honour and reward for his work, effort and commitment to the Model Parliament.
