Table quiz: The Lions Club table quiz will take place in Fitzpatrick's this Thursday March 11 at 8.30pm sharp. Please come along and give your support for what will be a fun night out. Four people per table at a cost of €30. This event will enable us to subsidise school trips and improve school supports.
Write A Book: We celebrated Write A Book Day by dressing up as characters from our favourite books. Children showed great imagination in their choice of costume which included Pippi Longstocking, Harry Potter, Hermione Grainger, Humpty Dumpty, Cinderella, Puss in Boots and of course Hannah Montana. Each child introduced herself to her class in character and spoke about themselves.
Trips: Children from 3rd-6th class will be visiting Wicklow Gaol today Wednesday, March 10. It will cost €5. Infants will visit Imaginosity on March 10. Children from 1st and 2nd will visit Imaginosity on Thursday, March 11 at a cost of €5.50. All the trips have been subsidised by the Board of Management.
Tesco tokens: The school is again collecting these tokens - don't forget to ask when doing your shopping and bring into the school.
Seachtain Na Gaeilge: We have lots of fun activities arranged for Seachtain Na Gaeilge including Tráth na gCeist, accordian player Thomas Byrne and perhaps a Seanachaí. Watch this space!
Goal thanks: The school received a letter and certificate of thanks from Goal for the €666.87 raised for Haiti appeal.
Dates for your diary: Seachtain Na Gaeilge, March 5 to 7; table quiz on Thursday, March 11; Service of Light on Tuesday, April 13; First Confession on Friday, April 16; Confirmation Day on Wednesday, April 21; and First Communion on Saturday, May 15.
School calendar: St. Patrick's Day, March 17; Easter Holidays are from March 29 to April 11 – school finishes on Friday, March 26 at 12 noon and reopens on Monday, April 12 at 9.20am.
