THE CHILDREN attending Wicklow Montessori School in Wicklow town did their bit for Friday's Daffodil Day by organising their own casual dress day.
Each child was more than willing to come to school with €2 in exchange for not having to wear any school uniform. To help raise further funds daffodils were also sold in the school at €1 a bunch. As a result most of the lunch time was taken up by busy little kids eagerly buying up flowers in order to raise as much cash as possible.
By the end of the day an impressive €300 had been raised. The school would like to thank all the children and their parents for their generous support. All the money raised will go the the Irish Cancer Society.
