Drug analysis 'costing state'
ARKLOW District Court heard there was a 'considerable cost to the state' to carry out drug analysis last week.
In the case of Kelvin Malloy (21), 5 Rory O'Connor Place, Arklow, who is charged with the unlawful possession of drugs at Castle Park, Arklow on May 28, 2009 Inspector John Walsh said the analysis of the substance seized had still not been analysed.
Inspector Walsh said 'there is considerable cost' and Judge Connellan said he wanted to be advised of the cost because he wanted the opportunity to take the cost into account when handing down the penalty.
He then adjourned the case until July 14.
