Healthy eating 'flipping' great for primary pupils

Wednesday March 03 2010
IT WAS LIKE Pancake Tuesday all over again on Friday for the youngsters at the Holy Rosary and Bethlehem Primary Schools.
There was plenty of batter stirring and pancake flipping as part of the Healthy Eating Programme run by the schools. The kids learnt that little bit more about the healthy options provided by fruit by spreading various fruits all over their delicious pancakes.
The mammies of the kids involved busily went to work to make sure there were enough pancakes available for everyone. Local chef Paul Smyth and Siobhan Delahunt both provided the batter to make the pancakes from.
