MEMBERS of the Tommy Byrne Photographic Society in Arklow battled it out in a recent seasonal competition at the Bridge Hotel with a total of 48 impressive images on display.
The Landscape Competition takes place every year and always draws huge interest from club members.
This format was selected initially as it was the favourite category of the late Tommy Byrne whom the club was named in memory of.
A great standard of photography was noted on the night by adjudicators The Byrne Family, wife of Tommy, May, son Tom and daughter Julie New who had the difficult task of scoring each entry.
First prize went to Larissa O'Duffy and second and third places were awarded to Mark Twomey and Elena Kenny respectively.
A wonderful evening was enjoyed by all TBPS members as they enjoyed the opportunity to see the work of their society colleagues.
TBPS has drawn up a packed agenda to see members through to the New Year with various classes and a Christmas party on December 9.
Many thanks to the Bridge Hotel for their ongoing support over the past year.
