Students plan massive sleepover for homeless

WICKLOW STUDENTS can kill two birds with one stone in a novel fundraiser in aid of Focus Ireland.
Students across the county are being urged to take part in the charity's annual Schoolmates Sleepover.
Focus Ireland hopes the novel fundraiser will see students in Wicklow and around the country raise over € 30,000 to help fund its vital services which support young people who are homeless and prevent others from becoming homeless.
The housing and homeless charity is calling on teenagers all over Wicklow who have got used to long lie-ins over the summer to sign up for this novel fundraiser for a chance to catch an extra 40 winks while making a difference!
Teachers can enter their class or group and organise the event in the school or can encourage parents to organise a sleepover at home with friends and family.
The Focus Ireland Schoolmates Sleepover takes place on October 15 and school teams can register now by phoning 1850 204 205.
All Sleepover teams receive an information pack with sponsorship cards, wrist bands, parental consent forms and fundraising tips to help get them organised. To find out more, teachers and parents can call the Focus Ireland Fundraising team on 1850 204 205 or log onto www.focusireland.ie
