The Glenealy girls travelled to O'Moores, Co. Laois on Saturday, March 6 to play the third round of the Leinster League. The girls had a very quiet first half with the half time scoreline reading 1-3 to 1-0. The girls upped their game in the second half finally winning out on a scoreline 6-6 to 1-1. Orla Redmond, April Dickenson, Aimee Beale, Lisa Hogan, defended bravely while midfielders Laura Manley and Vicky O'Gara continuously battled while the Glenealy forwards began to find the net in the second half.
Scorers: Patriece O'Gorman 2-2, Pamela Maher 0-2, Audrey Bermingham 2-0, Natasha O'Gara 1-0, Laura Manley 11, Vicky O'Gara 0-1. Best of luck to Glenealy girls who play Naomh Brid, Carlow, in the next round.
