A GOOD win for Micko's men on Sunday but one that leaves a lot of unanswered questions. After four rounds of the league Wicklow have threes wins on the board and one very narrow defeat. That leaves them in a good enough position to make a big push for promotion, should Micko decide to go down that road.

However, we are still no wiser about the real strength of the team. There was some very good displays on Sunday, just as there has been in every match but also a lot of slackness at times.

It appears hat we are just going to have to wait until we come up against stronger opposition to get a true reading

And that day may be just around the corner We travel to Pearse Park to play Longford and that without a double will be our biggest test in the League to date.

Casey O'Brien also got his league campaign off to a good start with a win over Fingal on Saturday. They didn't with five players away on holidays. No blame to the lads in question, they picked out the free Sunday to take a break but were then snookered when the match they lost to the weather was pencilled in at short notice.

To get a win in the circumstances must have pleased the new manager no end.
