For a change we were blessed with dry crisp weather last Sunday morning, as the frost gradually cleared and the sun made an appearance, mulled wine warmed up some of the large turnout of members who came to honour our Captains Robert Mc Hugh and Olivia Cooney.

NEWTOWN JUNIORS FC: Though the weather conditions improved somewhat in the past week, for the second consecutive week it was only the under-10s and the girl's under-12s who saw action. The girl's hosted 'Joeys' from Sallynoggin in a friendly in preparation for the restart of the league.

Brian O'Driscoll deserved top spot ahead of Harrington.
