Baltinglass
103 played in our sweepstake competition last weekend which brought a great atmosphere around the club again. We are also having the same competition this weekend, a 14-hole sweepstake, the draw takes place on Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., all are very welcome. Winter League starts the following weekend 13th February with draws every 30 minutes.
Saturday results: Winners: Tom Goff Pat Fowler Tony Carter and Des Byrne 69 points.
Sunday results: Winners: Ken Browne Noel Mc Gill Ned O Keeffe and Joe O'Rourke 70 points.

The results of the Bridge Hotel Golf Society competition held at Glenmill Golf Club: Winner was John Gilbert with 29 nett. Class 1, Harry Kavanagh 29 nett, Class 2, Thomas Halpin 28 nett. Nearest The Pin, Harry Kavanagh 16ft, front nine, Dennis Naughter 15 nett; back nine, John Huzzar 19 nett.
Next week's competition is at Arklow Golf Club, which is Patrick Hoey's sponsored day. Tee-off 9.15 sharp.
