The Corner House held their 7th outing of the year in Blackwater last Sunday, a great total of 30 player's turned up on the day. The winners on the day were as follows, Overall winner on the day was Stephen Byrne, Winner of class 1 was Sean Carey, winner of class 2 was Tommy Fortune with his madien win and winner of class 3 was Shane Rice. The leader in the player of the year competition is hotting up as Sean Carey has now taking the lead followed closely by Jack O Reilly. In the Team competition team D has now moved into first place but close behind is team B with team C just a few points behind. The Society would like to thank the visitor's who turned up on the day and also Pat Long and Ann Walker for providing the food afterwards in the Corner House. All players will be notified by text when the next outing will take place. WICKLOW

The following are the results of the competitions held in Wicklow Golf Club over the past few week.

The men's 18-hole stableford singles held on the 8th of August and the winner was William Carey (18) with 43 points, 2nd was Simon Carroll (9) with 43 points, 3rd was Derek McKeon (4) with 43 points, 4th was Kevin O'Mahoney (11) with 40 points, 5th was Liam Devlin (7) with 39 points, and 6th was Vincent Lynch (17) with 39 points.

The results of the 4-ball competition held on Thursday August 12th were 1st Tony McKeever (13) and Craig Godrey (from Killerig Golf Club) (10) with 45 points, 2nd were David Delaney (7) and Pat Dunne (10) with 44 points, 3rd were Keith Clarke (8) and Jimmy Lawless (from Killerig Golf Club) (16) with 44 points. This weekend we have our annual club fundraiser, Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Sunday, 22nd August, four person team event, entry €120 per team incl food, and every visitor that plays will receive a green Ffee to the value of €30. Open Singles every Tuesday, entry €12. This Wednesday at 5.50p m BALTO 14.

Novelty competition for all members and visitors alike… the "Sharpest Shooter" and "Biggest Hitter" competition on Friday 27th August at 6 pm all welcome. KILCOOLE

The Bridge Hotel Golf Society competition last week (sponsored by Shaun Carey) resulted in a win for John Gilbert with 41 points.

Next week's competition (sponsored by Glynn Davenport) is at Blackwater Golf Club, with tee-off at 11 o'clock.
