THE DUBLIN Lawn Tennis Council Winter League has come to an end for the teams representing Wicklow Tennis Club. On Sunday last the club had two teams in the quarter finals and unfortunately both were beaten. The Men's 1st team playing in Class 3 were beaten by a stronger Mount Pleasant team at home and the ladies 1st team narrowly lost out to a stronger Carrickmines team in Carrickmines. Hard luck to all the players, they had a great run to the quarter finals and thank you to everyone who either played on a team or subbed along the way throughout the competition. Men's 1st team: T. Morrissey and R. Pickerill, M and C Sexton, J O'Brien and S. Storey. Ladies 1st Team: T. Meehan and S. McHugh, J. Baker and G. Fitzsimons, L. Gallagher and C. Geraghty.
