FOLLOWING A very successful summer camp - as reported here a fortnight ago, Wicklow RFC are resuming age-grade rugby this Saturday, September 4, at Ashtown Lane. The summer activities involved over 120 children who took advantage of the good weather to hone their skills under the watchful eye of Leinster and Ireland player, Sean O'Brien.
Training will be from 10 to 1130 every Saturday throughout the season and will feature fun and skills development delivered by qualified coaches. New players are always welcome and even beginners will be rucking and mauling in no time!
The season will feature matches, blitz tournaments and even an end of season tour for the older ones.
Ages catered for are U-7s (born 2004) to U-12 (born 1999). For further information contact Dave Ballesty, Mini Rugby Co-ordinator on 0868541013.
Youths from U-13 to U-19 are also back in training - information from Owen O'Sullivan, Youths' Co-ordinator on 0870513080.
