Wicklow take on New Ross in last game

WICKLOW'S first XV travel to New Ross on Sunday March 7th to play the last league game of a tough season in division 1B. After a devastating loss to a much improved Garda side last weekend, Wicklow have been dragged into a relegation battle, which will go down to the wire.
On the same day, Garda welcome Newbridge to Westmanstown and Kilkenny who are on the bottom of the table travel to in form Enniscorthy. Garda are level with Wicklow on points but have one win less, which puts Wicklow just ahead of them in the table. Kilkenny are on the bottom of the table one point behind both teams.
Wicklow travel to New Ross knowing nothing less than a win will do. They have the quality and determination to secure a win against a tough New Ross side that dramatically stole a last minute victory when they visited Ashtown lane before Christmas. It will come down to which team performs on the day. The team that finishes on the bottom of the table is automatically relegated to division 2. The team second from bottom are likely to face a play off against the runners up in division 2.
Wicklow would ask their supporters to get behind the team and travel to New Ross for this crucial game. Kick-off is at 3pm
