Davy nominated for FAI Junior Player of the Year
WICKLOW'S Davy O';sullivan has been announced as one of the prestigious nominees for the FAI Junior Player of the Year Award.
The former Wicklow Rovers and current Arklow Town star will contend the award against two others and has been invited to attend the plush FAI International Awards on Sunday, February 26.
The ceremony will be televised live from RTE Studios in Donnybrook that evening, kicking off at 6pm.
O'sullivan shone with Wicklow Rovers in last season's FAI and Leinster Junior Cups and it was his outstanding performances that saw him earn an international call up to the Republic of Ireland junior side.
While here he went on to be one of the key figures in the Irish team's magnificent charge to the European Regions Championship in Portugal where they went onto to reach the tournament final.
O'sullivan managed to bag the winning goal against Russia in the semi finals but that's where the dream ended for O'sullivan and co. as they lost out to hosts Portugal in the final.
