ENNISKERRY YC tasted defeat for the first time in the league this season, succumbing to a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Wicklow Rovers.
David Rowan (2), Conor Tobin and Aidan O'Neill all found the back of the net for the Whitegates side as they moved to within eight points of the Youth Club.
Another side who will have been glad to see Enniskerry losing is second placed Sugarloaf FC, who took full advantage of the Berryfield Lane's side slip up, beating local rivals Glenview FC B 3-2 at home to reduce the gap between the top two to just seven points. The 'Loaf also have a game in hand.
Luke McManus and Stephen McCann both notched for Glenview in their defeat on Sunday.
There was just one other Division 1 fixture this weekend and that was the meeting of Greystones United and Glencormac United at the seaside venue and it was the hosts who won this one, increasing the Glens' relegation worries by beating them by two goals to one.
'Stones took an early two goal lead before the Kilmac side pulled one back through Kevin Redden.
